Black & White = Home
From Whence I Came
I’m starting to do more black and white work lately. There are many reasons why… I’ll be announcing one of them at the end of the month!
But what I CAN tell you is that I’m loving it!
I started in black and white photography back in the 70’s and it was simply my one true love. When I had to give it up due to darkroom chemical sensitivity, it was a sad, sad day. When digital came of age, I leapt like gazelle back into photography. I was hungry for color, which I still love with all my heart. Now… the mystery of shadow and light, positive and negative space, the sheer minimal attraction of monochrome is like coming home again. Aaahhhhh.
This: from Arches National Park in Moab, Utah. Single frame. Incredible luck.
