Notes… this is all just notes and an outline

Karen Hutton is a Professional Fujifilm X Photographer, International Landscape and Travel Photographer, Voice.

Mutli-talented and multi-passionate. Karen’s story is both a story of diversity – and unification.

Early On

Raised with a camera. Ate stories for lunch. Sees the world photographically from an early age. Her camera was a way to tell the story of the interests that fueled her desire to experience all life had to offer. Equestrian sports, figure skating, dance, acting, singing… professional at them all, teacher in each discipline. They all stemmed from one vision as a child; and all were connected by one desire. She photographs them all.

A camera in her hands

Brownie, Pentax, Minolta, Panasonic, Canon [name the cameras],

Wanting to be a professional photographer – darkroom chemicals ended that – throws herself into her arts and sports. Learns about discipline, creativity, performance. Teaches all that she does. Finds the thread joining them all.

Fine art photography captured her imagination. With her love of stories and storytelling, fine art photography always seemed like the purest form. Like an entire film captured in one frame. The best fine art photography gives you (as the viewer) room for your imagination play, to finish the story. That’s such an important part of it. I love how it makes you stop and think. Dwell in the artist’s world for a moment. See the world in a new way through their eyes. It’s intrigued me like no other art-form since the moment I laid eyes on it. It’s always felt so powerful, so visceral, in-the-moment and essentialist.

Through stunning imagery, humor, thought-provoking ideas and a genuinely positive outlook, she inspires people to discover their artistic voice in photography — while making it all feel like an unforgettable and eye-opening adventure.
She has been featured internationally by Fujifilm, presented at Photographer Talks at Google, created popular online courses for Kelbyone, has been translated into multiple languages and speaks all over the country about photography and inspiration.
Her adoring fans + customers have called her “Pure JOY, LIGHT & absolute FUN!”, “An inspirational gem” and “Incredibly artistic. Captivatingly genius. World class!”
Guilty pleasures? When she’s not traveling the world, you can find her watching epic movie trailers, crunching popcorn at the latest Marvel Comics blockbuster and sipping Bulletproof coffee, wondering if anyone realizes she’s basically drinking butter.
