Karen wrote this list during a tough time, when exhaustion and discouragement had slapped her down, hard. The mountains seemed too high, the challenges too many. Never one to accept feeling lousy as the best possible option, she set about writing the things she was grateful for, that were right… and made a pledge to keep going until she felt better, however many that meant thinking of.
At 20, it was hard work, just more of same. At 50, a bit better. At around 80, it started to be fun. By 100, she was laughing and felt like she could’ve gone on forever. She never wanted to stop! It was a lesson she’ll never forget.
So much so, she decided to turn her list into an eBook, in hopes it might inspire others. And because it was fun.
“Gratitude bestows reverence,
allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies,
those transcendent moments of awe that change forever
how we experience life and the world.”
John Milton
